Unlike traditional Flag Hinges, which are frequently presented as unassembled kits containing several intricate parts, the Patriot hinge is supplied ready to fit, with just two overall parts, dramatically improving the fitting process. Besides the ease of application, the Patriot hinge is equally impressive when it comes to adjustments. Compression and vertical height adjustments are simply undertaken by the use of one Allen key in the same action. Also, the compression adjustment operates in only the perpendicular plane and not an eccentric motion. This ensures that the compression is only adjusted when desired and does not affect the lateral adjustment, so preventing the sash being pulled into an ‘S’ shape. Once set, both the vertical height and compression adjustments are retained in the desired position by a unique ‘click stop’ device. This technical innovation eliminates the need for a secondary plug retainer and allows any adjustment to be automatically retained.
